Sneak Preview: The Secret Circle Episode 9: Balcoin

This is your last chance until 2012 to scream! Don't miss the unforgettable midseason finale of The Secret Circle Thursday at 9/8c on The CW.

Cassie (Britt Robertson) and Jake (guest star Chris Zylka) look into her father's side of the family, hoping to discover more about her lineage and why she has powers separate from the Circle. Meanwhile, Adam (Thomas Dekker) becomes protective of Cassie when Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) reveals that Jake might be hiding something dangerous from them. At the same time, Adam's equally concerned when Melissa's (Jessica Parker Kennedy) cousin Holden (guest star Arlen Escarpeta) comes to town and catches Diana's (Shelley Hennig) eye. On the night of the Homecoming dance, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) opens up to Elena (Nina Dobrev) about why the evening is so important to her, leaving Elena with conflicting emotions. Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig) are both shocked at Tyler's (Michael Trevino) behavior throughout the evening. The night takes a surreal turn when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) puts his latest plan into action. Determined to outsmart Klaus, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) enters into a dangerous partnership, leading to a terrifying turn of events. The band My Morning Jacket performs in the party scenes. Paul Wesley and Kat Graham also star. Joshua Butler directed the episode written by Evan Bleiweiss (#309).

Sneak Preview: The Secret Circle Episode 8: Beneath

After not hearing from her grandmother (Ashley Crow) for a couple of days, Cassie (Britt Robertson) becomes concerned and wants to go look for her. Diana (Shelley Hennig) decides the entire Circle should go in case Jane is in trouble. She also invites Jake (guest star Chris Zylka) along, much to Adam's (Thomas Dekker) dismay. A storm turns the day trip into an overnight excursion, so Faye suggests a little game of Truth or Dare to liven up the evening. However, things take a horrible turn when Faye is forced to reckon with someone from her past.
